Shirley Anne Anderson

Shirley A Anderson, 81 of Logansport, passed away at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 26, 2017, in Woodbridge Health Campus..

Born May 5, 1935, in Rochester, she was the daughter of the late Lotus and Lela (Thomas) Thrush.

She was married to Jack Anderson.  The couple later divorced.  He survives in Logansport.

A graduate of Rochester High School, Shirley was retired from National Friction where she had worked as a payroll clerk for many years.

Shirley had been a member of the former Market Street United Methodist Church. She was a longtime member of the Royal Center Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star.

Also surviving are one daughter, Teresa Popejoy, of Logansport; one son, Danny Anderson, of Logansport; three grandchildren, Tony Popejoy, Jennifer Anderson and Jeff Anderson; a granddaughter-in-law, Amanda Dillon and several great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one son-in-law, Ron Popejoy; two grandsons: Jonathon Popejoy and Aaron Anderson; three sisters: Mary Ellithorpe, Betty Jenkins and Vivian Scheid.

Friends will be received one hour prior to the service Saturday in the funeral chapel.  

A funeral service celebrating Shirley’s life  will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 29 in Fisher Funeral Chapel, with Pastor Don Cline officiating.

Interment will follow in the Rochester I.O.O.F. Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorial contributions be made to the Cass County Humane Society.
