Honestie Marie Shaver, age 7, Logansport, passed away at 10:50 a.m., on Tuesday, May 2, 2017, in Riley Hospital for Children at IU Health, Indianapolis.

Born in Logansport, on January 2, 2010, she was the daughter of Noel Kistler Shaver, who survives.  She was also raised by Johon Coleman, whom she regarded as her father.

Honestie was a first grader, attending Franklin School.

Also surviving are her siblings, Braxton Scott, Cole Shaver, Gracie Shaver, and Riley Coleman, who share these loving remembrances of Honestie:

Gracie says her favorite thing to do was go to their shared room and play with their Barbies together.  They both liked to draw pictures for each other.  They enjoyed watching their favorite videos on YouTube:  Seven Super Girls, and how to make ice cream shapes out of Play Doh.  They loved to hug each other and go on imaginary adventures together.

Cole and Honestie enjoyed telling each other funny jokes and making funny faces.  He says she liked to pull pranks on him, like the toothpaste Oreo trick!  They also enjoyed watching movies together.

Braxton recalls that she enjoyed listening to music, going on walks, and watching videos.  She also liked when he did the ‘kissing monster’.

Also surviving are grandparents, Rebecca Phelps, J. D. Smith, Janice Smith, and Amos and Tonji Johnson; along with many aunts uncles, and cousins.

Her funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m., on Monday, May 8, 2017, in the Ever-Rest Memorial Park Chapel, with Pastor Coenraad Brand officiating.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service, also at the Chapel.

Interment will immediately follow the service.
