Trine University is proud to announce that Christopher Jones is the July 2017 Student of the Month. Chris graduated in 2014 from Logansport High School with over 20 dual credits giving him a real advantage as he started college. After graduation, Chris was headed off to Danville, Illinois to play baseball on a scholarship. After completing his freshman year, he decided to move back home and attend college in his own hometown. Chris had aspirations to become a police officer and by attending Trine University, Chris was able to get a full time job, and work a little more quickly towards his degree in criminal justice. Chris was recently hired as a deputy on the Cass County Sheriff’s Department and with only a few classes left to complete his degree, he is achieving his goals.
Chris states, “I know that my education played a big factor in getting hired, and I have Trine and everyone involved with Trine to thank for that. So becoming a student at Trine University in Logansport helped me tremendously in reaching my goal of becoming a police officer.”
