Harris latest ‘Citizen of the Week’
The longest serving coordinator of Logansport’s Main Street program is this week’s recipient of a city honor.
Becki Harris, director of the Logan’s Landing Association, recently completed work to nationally certify the organization. Logan’s Landing board members posed with her for a picture earlier this month when she announced it to the board.
Prior to serving with Logan’s Landing, she was employed with the Cass County Community Foundation.
“Becki is a deserving recipient because of the many hours she has spent coordinating so many things that promote not only downtown Logansport, but our entire city,” Mayor Dave Kitchell said today. “We’re fortunate to have someone who has made this essential task her calling, and it’s through the efforts of Becki and other Logan’s Landing members that 10 new businesses opened their doors downtown last year.”
The Citizen of the Week recognizes Logansport natives or residents who contribute to the community or are recognized for their achievements. Recipients received a certificate of appreciation from the city and a $20 gift certificate.
