Virginia CroweVirginia A. Crowe, 99, Logansport, took her final breath on earth and her first breath in heaven at 11:34 a.m. Thursday, July 6, 2017, in her home. She was surrounded by family and friends as she was when she was born March 1, 1918, to her parents, Michael L. and Angeline Cappoli Sundy.

She was married to Francis L. Crowe on August 24, 1944, in Logansport. He preceded her in death on January 30, 1985.

Virginia had been employed at Garden City and Memorial Hospital. She was a member of All Saints Catholic Church, All Saints Ladies Society, Daughters of Isabella, Holy Rosary Study Club, William Paca Lodge and the Elderberries.

Virginia enjoyed working in her yard and garden. She enjoyed watching the many butterflies in her tree and yard. Famous for her rigatoni, which she made for many family occasions, she enjoyed her family and especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Surviving are sons, John Francis (Becky) Crowe and Paul Vincent (Darla) Crowe, all of Logansport; sisters, Mary Bessignano, Florida, Adeline Perrone, Logansport and Lucille Griffith, Cincinnati; sisters-in-law, Ruth Sundy and Dee (Barth) Risher, all of Logansport.

Also surviving are grandchildren, Angie (Brett) Henk, Dan Crowe, Beth (Pascal) Moon, Brock Crowe, Brian (Amber) Strong, Sky (Pat) Murray, Stephanie Mulevu, Crystal (Chris) White and Monique Crowe (Matt Kramer); fourteen great-grandchildren, one great-great grandson and many nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death are brothers- and sisters-in-law, Tony and Ruth Sundy, Jim Sundy, August and Retha Sundy; and a great grandson, Brandon Lewis.

Visitation will be on Monday, July 10, 2017, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Tuesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Kroeger Funeral Home. The Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, also at the funeral home.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 11, 2017, at All Saints Catholic Church with Fr. Dominic Petan officiating.

Interment will be in the St. Vincent Section of Mount Hope Cemetery.
