Cass County businesses and organizations helping with hurricane relief efforts

Residents in Cass County, Indiana are reaching out to help those affected by Hurricane Harvey. Here’s a list of some of the local relief efforts that have shared information with us. If you have an initiative you’d like to add to this list, e-mail us.

LOGANSPORT HIGH SCHOOL: Beginning next week, the Logansport High School Student Council will be accepting donations for The Jesse Tree, a nonprofit service agency in Galveston, Texas that is both helping victims of, and recovering itself from, Hurricane Harvey. They are collecting Money and T-shirts any size… clean and free of rips or tears. Please bring your donations to LHS anytime from 7:30 am- 4:00 p.m. We appreciate all of your help in helping our students help the victims of Hurricane Harvey! PLEASE SHARE!! www.jessetree.net

OSR BIKES: Shannon Clem lived in Houston for six years and some of their dearest friends still live there. They are collecting items that can be distributed through the district where Shannon taught. They plan on filling their 24′ trailer with supplies and driving them down as soon as some of the major roads are passable. Donations will be accepted at OSR Bikes, 11 Wolf Road, Suite B (east side of Burlington Avenue), and at Creative Promotions, 506 North Street, in downtown Logansport.

Items they will be collecting include the following:

Socks
Blankets
Towels
Diapers
Baby items
Toiletries (shampoo, soap, deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrushes, toilet paper)
Non-perishable food
