End-of-summer events happening in Logansport

Several events will be taking place in Logansport this weekend and will honor parts of the community’s heritage.

The Logansport Shrine Club will host the annual Shrine Frolic on Friday, Aug. 25 and Saturday, Aug. 26, 2017. The parade will begin at noon on Saturday and will travel down Broadway and turn right on 4th Street. Additional events will take place at the Logansport Shrine Club on High Street. The Cass County Historical Society will host a celebration of the 100th anniversary of the ReVere automobile that was manufactured in Logansport in the early 1900s. The event will include a car show and a parade lap through downtown Logansport around 2 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 26. The evening will end with a sold-out dinner at Amelio’s on the River. The Carousel Fun Day at Riverside Park will feature free admission to the festival. In addition to several free entertainment options, food will be available for purchase, along with tickets to ride the Dentzel Carousel and train. Find more info here.

The weekend wraps up with the Cass County Arts Alliance’s final Summer Sundown Series performance of the season at Spencer Park in Logansport at 7 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 27. Find more info here.
