Labor Day 2018 Closings

According to the U.S. Department of Labor, Labor Day “is dedicated to the social and economic achievements of American workers. It constitutes a yearly national tribute to the contributions workers have made to the strength, prosperity, and well-being of our country.”

The following offices will be closed Monday in observance of the holiday:

Eel Township Trustee’s Office – closed Monday, Sept. 3

Cass County Government Building – closed Monday, Sept. 3. Commissioners Meeting will be Tuesday, Sept. 4.

Logansport City Office and LMU – closed Monday, Sept. 3. City Council meeting will be Monday, Sept. 10.

TRASH PICKUP FOR CITY OF LOGANSPORT RESIDENTS: Republic Services will be operating a day behind due to the Labor Day holiday.  Monday routes will be picked up on Tuesday, Tuesday routes will be picked up on Wednesday, Wednesday routes will be pick up on Thursday, Thursday routes on Friday, and Friday routes on Saturday.  Please call Republic Service with questions at phone 800-989-2539

Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicle (BMV) branches are closed Saturday, September 1 through Monday, September 3 in observance of the Labor Day holiday. Branches resume regularly scheduled business hours on Tuesday, September 4.

MAIL DELIVERY: Post Offices will be closed Monday, September 3, 2018, in observance of Labor Day. There will be no mail delivery or caller service on that day.  All services resume on Tuesday, September 4.

The Cass County Dentzel Carousel will be open from 1-9 pm. Saturday and Sunday and from 1-5 p.m. Monday, Sept. 3.

The Walton Library will be closed Saturday, Sept. 1 in observance of Labor Day. The Walton Library is also closed on Mondays and will re-open on Tuesday, Sept. 4.

The Logansport Library will be closed Monday, Sept. 3 for Labor Day
