Flags to be flown at half-staff Wednesday, Oct. 18 to honor former state treasurer Julian L. Ridlen

INDIANAPOLIS – Governor Eric J. Holcomb is directing flags at the Indiana State House and in Cass County to be flown at half-staff in honor of former state treasurer Julian L. Ridlen who passed away Tuesday, Oct. 10.

Ridlen served as Indiana’s treasurer from 1979 to 1986. He served two terms as City Court Judge in the 1970s and two terms as judge of the Cass Circuit Court. He served as Senior Judge until his retirement in Dec. 2016.

Flags should be flown at half-staff from sunrise to sunset on the day of his funeral, Wednesday, October 18, 2017.

Gov. Holcomb also asks businesses and residents in Cass County to lower their flags to half-staff on Wednesday to honor former treasurer Ridlen and his service to our state.

Visitation for The Honorable Julian L. Ridlen will be Tuesday, October 17, 2017, 4 to 8 p.m., at Kroeger Funeral Home. The funeral will be Wednesday, October 18, at Calvary Presbyterian Church with visitation beginning at 10 a.m., funeral at 11 a.m., with a luncheon to follow in Bigler Hall.
