Glen A. Ward

Glen A. Ward, 77, of Thornhope passed away peacefully at 1:58 p.m., Sunday, October 8, 2017 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.

Born on April 24, 1940 in Dorothy, West Virginia, he was the son of the late Henry and Mamie (White) Ward.

Glen was a U.S. Army veteran.

On October 24, 1999 he married Marlene Frye.

He retired in 2004 from Winamac Coil & Spring in Kewanna.

Glen was a member of the Logansport Church of the Nazarene, American Legion and the V.F.W. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting and mushroom hunting.

Survivors include his wife, Marlene Ward of Thornhope, brothers, Dean Ward of Crown Point and Marvin Ward (Linda) of Tennessee, sisters, Babe Kopaczewski of Crown Point and Carol Wolf (Tom) of California and the son he never had, Randy St. Denis of Thornhope. He is also survived by his beloved pets, Gracie the cat, Haley the chicken and Jade the dog.

He was also preceded in death by sisters, Enal Cantly, Opal Fraze and Bernease Stonebraker.

A Celebration of Glen’s Life and Military Rites will be conducted at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, October 12, 2017 at Harrison-Metzger-Rans Funeral Home, Royal Center Chapel with visitation from 5:00 p.m. until the time of the service.
