Trine University – Logansport recognizes Oct. 2017 Student of the Month

Last Updated on October 28, 2017 by cassnetwork

Trine University is proud to recognize Michelle Britt as the October 2017 Student of the Month. Michelle earned her bachelor degree from Trine University in 2016 and began her master degree program in Criminal Justice this fall. When Michelle decided to start on her bachelor degree, the transfer process was more complicated than simply transferring her credits from Ivy Tech Community College to Trine University. Michelle was nervous about making the leap and Lori and Betsy were able to assist her with the navigation process flawlessly. Their ability to calm all of her fears and give guidance were invaluable.

Michelle feels like the adult learning format is perfect for working students. Offering a variety of seated courses was a big draw for her. The class sizes are a perfect size, not too large to get lost in the shuffle and the instructors at Trine University are truly vested in how you perform.

Michelle stated, “There are many reasons to choose Trine University. They include a variety of degrees offered, seated classes close to home, adult learning setting that makes older learners more comfortable, affordable tuition, and helpful staff to make learning fun. I stepped away from school for 24 years in order to get married and raise our family, so the idea of completing my education was always a draw. Trine has offered me a way to complete my education and change my financial future. Since completing my Bachelors of Science in Psychology, I have been promoted to a Rehabilitation Therapist at Logansport State Hospital. My income has increased nearly 50% more than my previous position. Today, I am finishing my first round of classes for the master’s program. I cannot be more grateful to Trine University, Lori, and Betsy for opportunity and encouragement. It has truly been a blessing!”

Trine University congratulates Michelle Britt as the October Student of the Month.
