Joseph Herman Kiesling, 80, of Logansport, passed away Tuesday, November 21, 2017 in Logansport Memorial Hospital.
On May 20, 1937 Joseph was born in front bedroom of 712 Plum St., delivered by a female doctor, to his proud parents, the late and Loretta (Coblentz) and Herman Groffmeyer.
On August 24, 1956 in Fulton, Joseph married Patricia “Sue” (Maroney) Kiesling who survives
For 25 years, Joseph worked at Delco before retiring in 1997.
Joseph was a longtime member of the St. James Lutheran Church. In his younger years, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and golfing.
Surviving are daughter, Pamela Sterrett; of Lafayette; ones sister, Rita (Dale) Harris, of Ft. Myers, FL; three grandchildren, Miles (Melissa) Sterrett, Abbey (Sean) Murphy. and Jaime (Ethan) Tribbett amd seven great grandchildren, Aaden, Zoey and Mollie Murphy, Lola and Jude Tribbett, and Zane and Aubrey Sterrett.
He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant sister.
A memorial service celebrating Joseph’s life will be held at noon on Saturday, Nov. 25. in Fisher Funeral Chapel with Pastor KC Dehning officiating.
Friends will be received from 10am until noon prior to the service at the funeral home on Saturday.
