Joyce Pasel and Dave Geisler were named the 2017 recipients of the City of Logansport’s Margaret Newby Award at a luncheon Monday.
Pasel taught at Columbia Middle School and Geisler taught at Century Career Center.
The awards were presented by Mayor Dave Kitchell and Dr. Mark Keene, senior adviser to the Indiana Superintendent of Public Instruction.
.The awards are named for a former Longfellow Elementary teacher who taught fourth-grade students.
