A Logansport High School product who recently wrote the script for the movie “So B. It” is this week’s Logansport Citizen of the Week.
Garry Williams has been involved in the entertainment industry for many years, scoring a small role on one episode of “M*A*S*H” and writing plays and stories. What’s unique about him is that he has done it all while living in Cass County as a husband and father of three.
“Garry’s a true testament to the notion that you can live in our Midwest community and pursue any career or interest you want,” Mayor Dave Kitchell said in announcing the award. “Garry is deeply interested in the history of the community and he’s served on the Literacy Volunteers of Cass County Board. This isn’t a bedroom community for him. It’s home.”
The Citizen of the Week program recognizes current or former local residents who have made contributions to their field or to the community.
