Ruth J. Altmyer, 94, Logansport, passed away at 8:15 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 11, 2017, in Chase Center.
Born July 16, 1923, in Logansport, she was the daughter of George E. and Pearl Siddall Hines.
On May 13, 1944, in Logansport, she was married to Donald L. Altmyer, who preceded her in death on Feb. 28, 2006.
Ruth enjoyed flowers, birds and gardening, but especially her family.
She was a member of River of Life Christian Church.
Surviving are daughters, Susan Jayne (William) Hunter, Cynthia Lynn (Pat) Herr, all of Logansport, and Donna Marie (Douglas) Downham, Camden; grandchildren, Billie and Shelly Hunter, Donnie and Kelly Hunter, Scott Hunter, Brad and Jade Herr, Jacob Herr and Emily and Jordan Taylor; and a number of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Ruth was preceded in death by two half-sisters, Vera C. Webster and Margaret Webster; and a half-brother, James O. Webster.
Visitation will be from Noon to 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, at Kroeger Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Mount Hope Cemetery Chapel.
Interment will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Guardian Angel Hospice. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
