A Logansport native who is working for the federal government in Washington is recognized this week with a city award.

Eric Miller, a 1995 graduate of Logansport High School, has been named Logansport Citizen of the Week. Miller has been an FBI agent since 2006. He recently joined the Public Corruption Squad which investigates state and federal crimes.

“We’re proud that Eric and other Logansport natives are serving at the highest level of our nation’s government,” Mayor Dave Kitchell said today. “Agents such as Eric go above and beyond to keep our nation, and the world a safer, more stable place.”

He received his bachelor’s degree from Purdue University where he majored in political science. He is married to the former Jessica Brown of Logansport and they have three children. Son Connor attends George Mason University and their other son, Cole, attends Georgetown University. Their daughter, Chloe, is a junior in high school.

He is the son of Fritz and Linda Miller of Logansport.

The Citizen of the Week is sponsored by the Mayor’s Office and recognizes Logansport natives or residents who contribute to the community or are recognized for their achievements. Recipients received a certificate of appreciation from the city and a $20 gift certificate.
