Last Updated on January 15, 2018 by cassnetwork

Figures released at the January 2018 Cass County Community Foundation board meeting reported the Foundation’s total assets to be over $21 million as of December 31, 2017. The Foundation ended 2016 at $18.9 million and just five years ago held $14.2 million.

Deanna Crispen, President stated, “We are very humbled and proud of the continuing support from the community. 2017 was a year when we lost several community leaders and former board members who were longtime supporters of CCCF. To end the year topping the $20 million dollar mark is real evidence of their hard work and would certainly make them proud.” Established in 1993, the foundation has provided millions in grants to support Cass County non-profit organizations and scholarships to over 1,200 Cass County students since incorporating as a single county entity in 2001.

The Cass County Community Foundation also announced officers for 2018. Elected officers for 2018 are: Board Chairman, Bud Reed; Vice Chairman, Lucy Burns; Treasurer, Keith Cole; and Secretary, Carol Sue Hayworth.

The officers will be joined by new board members, Suzanne Chilcott, Daniel Layman, Molly Long, Tim Rich, Suzanne Ridlen and Kory Wilson. Returning board members include Elizabeth Billman, Barrie McClain, Mike Montgomery, Mike Shannon, and Lisa Swaim.
