Cold weather delays Logansport trash pickup

Last Updated on January 2, 2018 by cassnetwork

With below zero temperatures welcoming 2018 with a frigidly cold shoulder, Republic Services is asking Logansport residents for some patience.

Due to the unusually cold temperatures and wind chill, Republic has been forced to delay normal trash pick-up and recycling routes one day. Since this is a holiday week, trash this week will be picked up two days later than a normal week.

The one exception is the customers who normally have their pick-up on Friday. Republic is tentatively asking those customers to wait until next Friday to resume pick-up. Due to the delay, those customers will be able to place additional bags next to their full toter without being required to place a $1 sticker on the bags. Bulky items including furniture will still require the $1 sticker.
