Garrison appointed to housing authority

A family law attorney in Logansport will succeed Patrick McNarny on the Logansport Housing Authority Board.

Amber Garrison, who practices with Leeman Law, has been appointed by Mayor Dave Kitchell to replace McNarny, who is retiring from the board.

“First, I’m grateful for all the hours Pat has given not only to the housing authority, but to the many boards on which he has served since he came to Logansport in the 1970s,’ the mayor said in making the announcement.

“Second, Amber is a natural choice for this position because of her interest in family law and supporting the family structure through the legal system. Clean, safe, affordable housing is important to families, and I think she will be an excellent fit for this board.”

Garrison is a 1999 LHS graduate and received her bachelor’s degree in law and society from Purdue in 2003. After working as a legal secretary, she received her law degree from the Robert H. McKinney School of Law at Indiana University in 2013.
