Logansport Fire Department offering firefighter class beginning in February 2018

The Logansport Fire Department is pleased to announce it will be presenting a Firefighter I/II class. This course will start with Haz-Mat Awareness and Operations (a prerequisite for FF I). The course will progress through FF I then to FF II, and finishing up with technical rescue awareness.

The course will begin on February 20, 2018. The last scheduled day of class is June 21, 2018. Class will be on Tuesday and Thursday. Multiple Saturday classes will also be held. Class time will be 6-10 p.m. on Tuesday and Thursday. Saturday classes will be held from 8 a.m. – 4 p.m.. This is NOT a District funded course, and the cost of the course will be $600. This includes text book and study guide.

Applications for the course can be picked up at Logansport Central Fire Station, located at 630 High Street, Logansport IN. You can call Central Fire at (574) 753-3102 with questions. Applications must be turned in to Central Fire no later than February 12, 2018. Students must be at least 18 years old, by the time they take the state test.
