Purdue students take center stage at State Theatre

More than 90 senior civil engineering students from Purdue University were tasked to come up with a solution to water problems at Logansport’s downtown theater.

Students in Prof. Robert Jacko’s class were in Logansport Tuesday morning. They were welcomed with a greeting on the State Theatre’s marquee. After a presentation in the theater, students became “understudies” going beneath the main floor to examine subsurface conditions as well as the exterior of the building.

Purdue provides this service at no cost to the city, but the students did enjoy every last available bite of one of Logansport’s local delicacies, Bolin’s Donuts.
