Rex Gene Kantzer, 87 of Logansport, passed away Wednesday, January 10, 2018 in his residence.
Born on July 20, 1930 in Twelve Mile, Indiana he was the son to the late Ross H. and Laura (Moss) Kantzer. On November 27, 1970 in Logansport he married Rosemary Murray who preceded him in death on October 13, 2017.
Rex was a retired Iron Worker. He was an Airforce Veteran serving during the Korean War. Rex was a lifetime member of the American Legion Post #60, V.F.W Post #3790, and a charter member of the American Motorcyclist Association.
Surviving are three stepdaughters, Laura (Jeff) Bonnell, Royal Center; Janet Albright, Brownsburg; Becky (Dennis) Burtner, Lebanon; sister, Valerie Higgs, Logansport; five step grandchildren and six step great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a step daughter, Dianna L. Knight and two brothers, Kenneth Dean Kantzer and Sherman R. Kantzer.
Private services will be held at a later date. Private entombment will be held in the Mt. Hope Cemetery, Logansport with full military rites.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
