Ronald “Rabbit” W. Fawley

Ronald “Rabbit” W. Fawley, 66 of West Lafayette, formerly of Logansport, passed away Wednesday, January 10, 2018 in his residence.

Ron was born on June 3, 1951 in St Johns, Newfoundland, Canada. He is the son of Donald W. Fawley and the late Dorothy M. (Walters) Fawley.  On November 22, 1980 in Eaton, Ohio he married his wife of 37 years, Janet E. Gardner who survives.

Ron served his country in the United States Navy and Marine Corp. While in Logansport Ron worked at the Logansport State Hospital as a Registered Nurse before retiring after 41 years.  Ron was a diehard Cubs fan and loved listening to and collecting music. He was a dedicated nurse and truly cared for all of his patients and staff.

Surviving along with his wife Janet Fawley, are two sons, Samuel and Benjamin Fawley, both of West Lafayette; his father, Donald W. (Barb) Fawley Sr., Buffalo, IN; three sisters, Rene (Garry) Bridge, Headlee, IN; Michelle Plank, Cape Coral, FL; Donna Jean (J.R.) Smith, Buffalo, IN; a brother, Don (Gina) Fawley Jr., Buffalo, IN; and his beloved dog Paddy.

A celebration of life will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, January 13, 2018 in the Gundrum Funeral Home with Pastor Nick Robinson officiating.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM until the time of service on Saturday.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Cass County Special Olympics or the West Lafayette Parks and Recreation Foundation.
