Ruthann Wraight

Ruthann Wraight, 79, Plymouth, passed away at 12:45 p.m. Tuesday, January 2, 2018, in St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, Mishawaka.

Born March 12, 1938, in Cicero, Ill., she was the daughter of Kenneth Walter and Lucille Ladendorf Crysler.

On June 24, 1959, in La Mesa, Calif., she was married to John Wraight, who survives.

A 1956 graduate of Plymouth High School, Ruth later earned an Associate’s degree from Indiana University, South Bend.

During her lifetime Ruth was employed in various interesting positions: Harvey Aluminum in San Diego, Calif, as buyer of aircraft components, International Minerals and Chemical Corporation in their soil lab and Indiana’s Project Safe.

Ruth was commissioned as Evangelist in the Holy Catholic Church and inducted into the Episcopal Church Army on May 15, 1977, at St. John’s Episcopal Church, Lafayette, by Bishop Craine.

Surviving, in addition to her husband, are her children, Brian (Nancy) Wraight, Morton, Ill., Mary Wraight (Ron Hodges), John Wraight, Jr., and Michael (Cathy) Wraight, all of Plymouth; a brother, Kenneth (Sabra) Crysler, Pendleton, Ore.

Also surviving are grandchildren, Joshua (Bobbie) Wraight, Ashley Wraight, Alexis (Joseph) Geiger, Amanda Sarber, Arik (Amanda) Pynaert, Jacob (Natacia) Justice, Jenifer Justice, Tegan (Noah) Creamer, John Wraight, III (Tessa Kelly), Connor Wraight, Landrie Mattern, twins Emmett and Wyatt Wraight and Harriet Wraight; ten great grandchildren; nieces, Sabrina (Cameron) Gillespie Holli Shorter-Pifer (Stephen); nephews Kenneth (Christine) Crysler, Dirk Shorter; several great nieces and great nephews; sister-in-law, Yvonne Wraight

A Requiem Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 6th, at St. Thomas’ Episcopal Church, Plymouth, with the Rev. Thomas E. Haynes officiating.

Visitation will be from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, also at the church.
