Cass County Recycling District announces 2018 events
Now is the perfect time to clean out those filing cabinets bursting with old documents that you don’t need anymore. Or maybe you have old bank statements and bill stubs piling up along with junk mail labeled with personal information. Whatever the case, don’t sweat it…SHRED IT!
The District is sponsoring a FREE Community Shred Day for all the residents in Cass County. This is an opportunity to securely shred documents containing personal and confidential information to prevent identity theft and fraud. There will be a mobile shredding truck on-site for you to watch as your records are destroyed.
The event will be May 2, 2018 from 2-4 p.m. at 518 High Street (The Recycling District Office/Warehouse). The procedure is very simple. Just load up all the documents in bags or boxes and bring it to the warehouse. The documents will be shredded within minutes. This service is for residents only, no businesses or municipalities.
The Tire Collection Program has returned. Starting April 9, 2018 and will run through the end of July. Cass County residents can bring in tires for disposal by appointment. Just call the office and we’ll set up a time that works best. Below is the tire fee schedule:
Passenger Tires (Rim size 18” or less) $1/tire
Racing Tires (Wide) $2/tire
Commercial Tires (Semi, Bobcat/Fork truck) – $5
Tractor Tires $20/tire
Pass along all of the upcoming events with friends and family so they can take advantage of these services. If you have any questions about our programs and services, contact 574-732-9253. As always, Stay Green!
