Connie Lynn Lawhorn

Connie Lynn Lawhorne, 46, Logansport, passed away Friday, March 9, 2018, following a long, hard-fought battle with COPD.

She was born August 2, 1971 in Logansport.

A 1991 graduate of Logansport High School, Connie received her certification as a CNA. She had worked for many years as a CNA at Chase Center and Miller’s Merry Manor.

Connie wore the title of “Grandma” proudly and loved her sons, grandkids and her canine “child”, Mushu. She enjoyed cross-stitch and spending time visiting with her neighbors. Pineapple sundaes from Char-Bett’s and a Hap’s Delight from Mr. Happy Burger were her all-time favorites.

Surviving with her mother and step-father, Karin (Siegel) and Richard Phillipy, Logansport; her step-mother, Pauline Lawhorne, Logansport; one son, Ethan Lee Hunter, Logansport; her grandchildren, Brayden M. Hunter and Bentley A. Armstrong; three sisters, Catherine Lawhorne, Logansport, Carolyn Nethercutt, Burrows and Christine Gill, Lakewood Ranch, FL; step-sister, Dyan Neuendorf, Logansport; step-brothers, James Phillipy, Huntington, Randy Chizum, Ohio, Larry Lee Chizum, Indianapolis, and Eric Chizum, Warsaw; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Neal Lawhorne and one son, Evan Michael Lawhorne.

A memorial service is planned at a later date.
