Florence Plotner Masters

Florence Plotner Masters, 94, of Royal Center passed away at 2:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at her residence.

Born October 12, 1923 in Dunklin County, Missouri, she was the daughter of the late Elmore and Katie Bell (Longmire) Plotner.

On May 4, 1946, she married John W. Masters in Rochester, Indiana. He preceded her in death on February 13, 1992.

She was a 1941 Royal Center High School graduate.

Growing up in Royal Center, she worked at the post office and also worked at Kingsbury Ammunition Plant til the end of the war. She then went to work at the Logansport leather factory where she met John.

She also helped her husband John to run his well drilling and pump repair business.

She was a 50 year member of Pythian Sister Lodge and member of Eagles Ladies Auxiliary of Rochester.

Survivors include her daughter, Linda O’Brien of Royal Center, granddaughters, Lisa Ruff (Terry) of Royal Center and Sara Masters of Westfield, great grandchildren, Justin Ruff (Rachel) of Monticello and Brittany Ruff of Hobart and niece, Shirley Hirsch (Eric) of Florida.

Also preceding in death is a brother, Leroy Plotner, a daughter, Karen Worman, sister-in- law, Frances Fulwider and twin babies, Gene J. and Joan K.

Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, March 31, 2018 at Harrison-Metzger- Rans Funeral Home, Royal Center Chapel with Pastor Joshua Lozano officiating.

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday.

Burial will be at Pro Cemetery in Headlee.
