Vietnam Veterans Recognition Ceremony Thursday, March 29 in Plainfield, Indiana

Thursday, March 29 is National Vietnam War Veterans Day. On March 29, 1973, the last combat troops were ordered out of Vietnam. Bipartisan legislation authored by Senators Joe Donnelly and Pat Toomey permanently designating March 29 as National Vietnam War Veterans Day was signed into law by President Trump and the inaugural National Vietnam Veterans Day was celebrate last year.

This year, Donnelly is hosting an event Thursday, March 29 at Plainfield High School that will include a veteran resource fair at 6 p.m. and a ceremony at 7 p.m. honoring veterans who served on active duty in the U.S. Armed Forces at any time during the period of Nov. 1, 1955 to May 15, 1975. All Hoosier veterans, families, and community members are invited to attend.
