Clyde PattyClyde E. Patty, 92, of Royal Center passed away peacefully at 6:35 a.m., Friday, March 30, 2018 at Wynnfield Crossing Assisted Living in Rochester.

Born on July 9, 1925 in Jefferson Township, Cass County, he was the son of the late Glen and Lillian (Meeker) Patty.

He was a 1944 Royal Center High School graduate.

Clyde was a U.S. Army Air Force Veteran serving in WWII.

On October 19, 1945 he married Mabel E. Brower. She preceded him in death on May 30, 2000.

Clyde was a lifelong farmer. He was a member of Center Presbyterian Church where he served as an Elder and Trustee. He was also a former member of Indiana Farm Bureau and the National Farmer’s Organization.

He enjoyed traveling and spending time with family. Clyde was also a proud grandpa and great grandpa.

Survivors include his children, Randal Keith Patty and wife Marlena of Royal Center, Marsha Elaine Bender and husband Mark of Logansport and Peggy Jo Patty and her partner (Phyllis Lau) of Athens,Illinois, grandchildren, Keith C. Patty, Laurie M. Sutter and her husband Mark, Kyle W. Bender and his wife Giselle, Mark A. Bender and his fiancé Stephanie, great grandchildren, Jacob Patty, Dorrie Patty, Marian Patty, Landon Sutter, Sasha Sutter, Alexys Bender, Chloe Bender and Zaydon Bender, brother,
Dean Patty of Royal Center and wife Louise and sister, Justine Crume and husband Robert of Camden, sister’s in law, Leota Patty of Florida, Lela Dees and husband Lyle of Deedsville, Vera Green of Converse and brother in law, Larry Brower and wife Geraldine of Deedsville. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by two infant sons, Timothy and Steven Patty, brothers, Burdette Patty, Jim Patty, Leland Patty and sister, Joan Gray.

Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at Harrison-Metzger- Rans Funeral Home,

Royal Center Chapel with Pastor Monte Adams officiating.

Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 p.m., Monday, April 2 at the funeral home and also one hour prior to the time of service on Tuesday.

Burial with Military Rites conducted will be at Pisgah Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Center Presbyterian Church.
