Trine University Logansport, is proud to recognize Katherine Howe as the April 2018 Student of the Month. Katherine is a Cass County resident working towards her bachelor degree in business administration with a concentration in accounting. When Katherine applied, she had several previous college credits she was able to transfer to Trine. Her transfer experience went smoothly and quickly. Katherine felt that Betsy was wonderful in keeping in contact with her and ensuring that she had everything she needed to complete the entire admission process in just one week. Katherine’s experience with Lori was also very positive. Calling Lori and amazing advisor, being completely involved with the students and their schedules. Katherine has never felt unsure of what she was doing or when she needed to do it, as Lori always communicated the process so well.
“My experience at Trine has been great. Everyone I have met has been very friendly and supportive through the whole degree. I like that Trine is such a close-knit University. Having small classes and the same students in all my classes throughout my degree has been wonderful. I almost felt like I was back in high school going through the program with the same people. I felt very comfortable taking classes because I knew everyone in them and have made some really good friends throughout the course my time here. The professors have been amazing too. All of them have been very helpful and friendly. They really seem like they want to teach and make it as easy as possible to learn. I have also had the same professors multiple times and it is great knowing what to expect from them before class starts and being comfortable when it does start because they already know you and you already know them. Overall, I really enjoyed my time at Trine it is by far the best University I have attended (and I have been to multiple). I have enjoyed coming to the campus and seeing Betsy and Lori. They are so sweet and professional and made the atmosphere at Trine warm and comfortable. – Katherine Howe
Katherine is another example of someone that has taken advantage of the amazing educational opportunities that Cass County has to offer. Katherine’s plans after completing her undergraduate degree are to continue on to her MBA eventually working in a career as a CFO or an underwriter for real estate loans.
