Dixie Carol Parker

Dixie Carol Parker, 73, Logansport, passed away peacefully in her home on Saturday morning, June 30, 2018.

Born December 12, 1944, in Logansport, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Geraldine Strasser.

On June 9, 1963, in Mexico, Indiana, she was married to David M. “Mike” Parker, who survives.

Dixie was a graduate of Twelve Mile High School. As a teenager, she was a member of the Masonic youth group, Rainbow for Girls. She attended the Corinth Brethren Church in Twelve Mile.

Surviving with her husband are two children: Jennifer R. (Todd) Weinley, Bluffton, and Jonathon M. Parker, Logansport; two brothers, Roger Strasser and Tim Strasser; and eight grandchildren: Brittany, Sylas, Averi, Preston, Olivia, Sydney, Gabbi and Lars.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Jim and Dale Strasser; and her daughter-in-law, Katie Parker.

A funeral service celebrating Dixie’s life will be held at 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 3 in Fisher Funeral Chapel with Guardian Angel Hospice Chaplain Larry Phillips officiating.

Friends and family will gather from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral chapel.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Riley Hospital for Children or Guardian Angel Hospice.
