Joan M. Davidson

Joan M. Davidson, age 86, Logansport passed away at 12:10 p.m. Saturday, July 28, 2018, in WoodBridge Health Campus.

Born Sunday, January 24, 1932, in Logansport, she was the daughter of Fred and Martha Packard Hardt.

She was married in Logansport December 2, 1951, to Richard Davidson, who survives.

A 1950 graduate of Logansport High School, Joan was the first “car hop” at the former B&K East while in high school.

Mrs. Davidson had been employed in the Logansport High School Cafeteria.

Joan had many varied interests, including flower gardening, basket weaving, making and collecting dolls and Santa Clauses. She was gifted in needlework and made several quilts. She and her husband spent fifteen enjoyable years residing part-time in Nokomis, Florida, and also spent many summers at Lake Webster. Most of all she enjoyed her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Surviving, in addition to her husband, are a son, Gary (Sue) Davidson, Logansport; daughters, Penny (Alan) Kitson, Warsaw, Donna (Dan) Burton, Lisa (Randy) Baker and Sharon (Brian) Musselman, all of Logansport; brother, John Hardt, Sarasota, FL.

Also surviving are twelve grandchildren, Zach, Rachel, Brooke, Carly, Mac, Sam, Ryan, Andrea, Molly, Blake, Sarah and Mitchell; eight great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Two brothers and two sisters preceded her in death.

Visitation will be from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 2, 2018, at Kroeger Funeral Home.

The funeral service will follow visitation at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, also at the funeral home, with Joan’s son-in-law, Alan Kitson, officiating.

Interment will be in Shiloh Cemetery.
