Last Updated on July 31, 2018 by cassnetwork

“This year’s State Fair theme, ‘Step Right Up,’ aligns with IDEM’s commitment to environmental education and allows Hoosiers to learn more about actions they can take to protect our environment – now and for generations to come,” said Bruno Pigott, IDEM Commissioner.

IDEM’s booth will be located in the Indiana Department of Natural Resources building from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. every Saturday and Sunday during the 17-day fair. Activities at this year’s fair include:

  • An interactive trivia game focusing on the environment;
  • Coloring sheets and kid-friendly information;
  • General handouts about the environment; and
  • Fun prizes and giveaways.

IDEM will also be posting a “word of the day” on social media each day we are at the fair. Give the “word of the day” at the IDEM booth to receive a limited edition Recycle Guy prize. Limited quantities will be given away each morning, afternoon and evening on the weekends.

If Hoosiers haven’t already, be sure to follow @IDEMNews on Twitter and @inddem on Facebook for the “word of the day” as well as #IDEMStateFair for updates and information.
