BACK TO SCHOOL
The 2018-2019 school year begins Friday, Aug. 3 for students at Lewis Cass Schools. Pioneer heads back Tuesday, Aug. 7, the first day for Logansport students is Wednesday, Aug. 8. Caston students return on Wednesday, Aug. 15.
INDIANA STATE FAIR STARTS TODAY
The Indiana State Fair gets underway on Friday, Aug. 3 and runs through Sunday, Aug. 19. Read more here.
FAWLEY RETURNS AS PARKS ADMINISTRATOR
The Logansport Parks & Recreation Board of Directors voted unanimously to hire Jan Fawley as parks administrator at a public meeting on Wednesday, August 1. She served as parks administrator from 2000 to 2014. Read more here.

TWO WAY STREETS MEETING
A public input open house for the 4th & 5th Streets Two-Way Conversion will be held on Monday, August 6, 2018 from 6:00 – 6:30 p.m., immediately before the 6:30 City Council meeting on the third floor of the Logansport City Building in the City Council Chambers. Business owners and general public are invited to view the plans for changing 4th and 5th Streets to two-way. Harold Plance (project designer), Tony Shanks (Logansport Street Commissioner), and Mercedes Brugh (Deputy Mayor) will be present to answer questions and hear suggestions.
