FLAGS AT HALF STAFF

Flags are at half-staff until sunset on Sunday to honor U.S. Senator John McCain. Gov. Holcomb also asks businesses and residents across the state to lower their flags to half-staff to honor him.

YMCA RECEIVES ANOTHER DONATION

Community support continues to roll in for the Cass County Family YMCA. The Y has announced that they have accepted a generous $250,000 gift from Security Federal Savings Bank.  The money is being given toward the recently announced capital campaign that will fund a $3.5 million total renovation of their 51-year-old facility located at 905 E. Broadway in Logansport.

ROZZI PROMOTED BY INDIANA STATE POLICE

The Indiana State Police have announced the promotion of Detective Josh Rozzi to the rank of detective sergeant.  Sergeant Rozzi, a 1995 graduate of Logansport High School, has an associate degree in criminal justice from Indiana University Kokomo. Rozzi resides in Cass County with his three children. Read more here.

FOOD TRUCK TUESDAY

Ivy Tech and Trine University are sponsoring a Vibrant Events Pop-Up Event today from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Ivy Tech’s Logansport campus. Get more info here.

CASS COUNTY SEALS MEET & GREET

The Cass County Seals Swim Club will hold an information session Wednesday, Aug. 29 from 6-7 p.m. at the Logansport High School pool. Club registration will be available. Those new to the club should come prepared to swim.
