Anderson named Citizen of the Week

A Cass County resident who got his kicks by bicycling across Route 66 to the West Coast and raising money for a Logansport organization is this week’s Citizen of the Week.

Aaron Anderson completed the feat last week in his quest to raise money for the Logan’s Landing Association, Logansport’s Main Street organization.

“We’re proud of Aaron for taking on this awesome challenge and meeting it head-on,” Mayor Dave Kitchell said Friday. “Few people have the heart, the drive and the commitment to see something like this through, but it is something he will never forget the rest of his life and those of us who cheered him on will not forget either.”

Aaron is the son of Dr. Ralph and Connie Anderson of Logansport.

The Citizen of the Week is sponsored by the Mayor’s Office and recognizes local natives, residents or former residents who have made contributions to the city. He will receive a $20 gift certificate to a local restaurant and a certificate from the Mayor’s Office.
