Trine University in Logansport is proud to announce Nathan Allen as the September 2018 Student of the Month. Nathan is a Logansport resident and recently completed his associate degree at Ivy Tech Community College. Nathan was able to transfer his credits he earned at Ivy Tech and immediately start on his bachelor degree. Nathan has been extremely successful since beginning at Trine University and has consistently landed on the President’s List every semester. Like many of the students at Trine, Nathan juggles many roles as a full-time employee, husband, father, and student.
“My time at Trine has exceeded my expectations of what being a full time employee and college student should be like. From the moment I enrolled I had peace of mind knowing that I had a support team behind me cheering me on to complete my degree. Being a husband, father and a full time employee at Area Five Agency is hard enough, then juggling being a full time student working on a business degree seemed overwhelming. However, after speaking with Betsy Ulrich and Lori Lange from admissions, they helped me form a clear path to success and have supported me every step of the way. I’m almost finished with my bachelor’s degree in Business Management and plan on staying at Trine to get my MBA. I can honestly say that all of my instructors have gone above and beyond to make sure that I succeeded and that I understood what I was learning. My instructors have helped me through phone calls, emails, or face-to-face conversations after hours to answer any questions that I may have had. Trine is a top notch college and truly cares about the success of its students and they prove it by their actions. I hope to one day be the program director where I work and take the skills and knowledge I have learned from my time at Trine to help serve my community. – Nathan Allen
