Joseph P. Qualio, Jr., age 86, Logansport, passed away at 4:15 a.m., on Tuesday, October 9, 2018, in WoodBridge Health Campus.

Born in Logansport on September 19, 1932, he was the son of Joseph P. and Helena M. Parker Qualio, Sr.

Joe was retired from Civil Service at Fort Benjamin Harrison.

A United States Air Force veteran, he had served during the Korean Conflict.

Joe loved his family dearly. He always looked forward to the family get-togethers, holidays, cookouts, and his nieces and nephews sporting events. He also enjoyed the old classic movies and musicals, and live theater.

Surviving are niece, Debra Rennewanz; nephews, Edward Rennewanz and Robert Rennewanz (fiancé, Lora Collins); great nephews, Jason Carter, Steven Carter, Broc (Wendy) Rennewanz, Deion Rennewanz (fiancé, Lindsey Cheney); great nieces, Brandi Rennewanz, Alexis (Dante) Franco; great-great nephews, Bradley Graves, Landry Carter, Keyden Rennewanz; great-great nieces, Jessilynn Carter, Adrian Carter, Paris Carter, Halle Rennewanz, Reese Rennewanz, and Giavanna Franco.

Preceding Joe in death were sister and brother-in-law, Delores A. and Leonard Rennewanz; great niece, Stefanie Carter; great-great nephew, Nate Gibbs.

A military graveside service at 4:00 p.m., on Tuesday, October 16, 2018, at Mt. Hope Cemetery, will be provided by the Cass County Honor Guard and uniformed active-duty members of the United States Air Force. Please meet at the Mt. Hope Cemetery entrance arch.
