Kay L. Wolfe

Kay L. Wolfe, 62 of Peru, passed away Wednesday, October 10, 2018 in her residence.

Born on June 21, 1956 in Peru, Indiana, she is the daughter to the late C. Mendel and Lorraine (Long) Lowe.  On July 24, 2004 in New Waverly, Indiana, she married Jerry L. Wolfe who survives

Kay worked as a beautician. Her outgoing personality led many to believe that she had never met a stranger. She was always caring more about other people than herself and it was because of that, she was able to touch the lives and hearts of her many clients and friends. Kay was a member of New Waverly United Methodist Church.

Surviving along with her husband Jerry, are three daughters, Angie (Dan) Mayhill, Peru; Emily (Drew) Nye, Kokomo; Mindy (Wes) Miner, Peru; brother, Steve (Carol) Lowe, Peru; sister in law, Julie (Jeff) Spencer, Nyona Lake, IN; mother in law, Judy Smith, Peru; grandchildren, Owen, Adam, Wyatt, Stephen, Kendra and Alivia; nephews, David Lowe, Kevin (Laura) Lowe and Kyler Spencer; special friends and adoptive sisters, Becky Pear, Bonnie Bakehorn, Vickie Miller, Jackie Utter and Kathy Musall.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Kayla Marie and a brother, David J. Lowe.

A celebration of life will be held at 1:30 PM on Sunday, October 14, 2018 in the Gundrum Funeral Home with Pastor Chris Rife and Pastor Bob Clark officiating. Private burial will be held in the Mount Hope Cemetery in Peru.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 – 5:00 PM on Saturday, October 13, 2018 in the Gundrum Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to the New Waverly United Methodist Church.
