Cass County Community Foundation makes special Thanksgiving grant to provide free rides on the Carousel
The Cass County Community Foundation is excited to once again announce a special “Thanks-for-Giving” Grant to the Cass County Carousel. The “Thanks-for Giving” Grant will provide funds to be used to pay the expenses for the Carousel’s Friday and Saturday opening after the Thanksgiving holiday and will allow all rides to be free.
In announcing the grant, CCCF President Deanna Crispen shared, “November is always a time to give thanks for all the blessings we enjoy as a community. One of those blessings is the Dentzel Carousel at Riverside Park which has delighted young and old for decades. The CCCF board of directors realize how many families travel back to Cass County for the Thanksgiving holiday and the special place the carousel has in their hearts and so, for the 5th year, the board has approved a special grant to open the facility for free rides again this year.”
CCCF Grants Chair, Lisa Swaim added, “The Denzel Carousel is a part of so many memories for Logansport and Cass County families. What better way to celebrate the spirit of the Thanksgiving holiday than to be sure that those who are coming home to visit and those who live here can enjoy the carousel without cost.”
The Carousel will be open both Friday, November 23 and Saturday November 24 from 1-5 pm.
