KOKOMO, Ind. — Join the Indiana University Kokomo School of Business for insights and an economic forecast for 2019, at the annual Economic Outlook panel discussion and breakfast.
Set for 7:30 a.m. Wednesday, November 28, the panel includes Dean Alan Krabbenhoft with local insights, along with Kyle Anderson, clinical assistant professor of business economics; Catherine Bonser-Neal, associate professor of finance; and Mark Frohlich, associate professor of operations management, all from the Kelley School of Business, Indianapolis.
Krabbenhoft said participating in the briefing is an integral part of the IU Kokomo School of Business’s engagement with the local community.
“Attendees will be better informed as to what to expect over the upcoming year, and hopefully be better prepared to respond to such changes as they occur,” he said.
The presenters will draw attention to important factors influencing the international and national economies, the financial markets, the state of Indiana’s economy, and the regional economy served by the campus.
“The performance of the economy affects all businesses and organizations in one way or another,” he said. “In this regard, it is important to not only have an understanding about the current state of the economy, but also to have some sense as to where the economy may go, and what may happen with unemployment, inflation, or the financial markets in the foreseeable future.”
Breakfast begins at 7:30 a.m. in the Kelley Student Center, Room 130, with the panel discussion starting at 8 a.m. Cost is $20 per person, and sponsorships are also available. Register online at IU Kokomo Economic Outlook Breakfast.
