The United Way of Cass County Board of Directors is excited to announce that Chris Armstrong has been named the Executive Director. Chris joined the United Way on January 1, 2016 as the Director of Donor Relations. Shortly after Chris joined the staff, then-Executive Director Joyce Mayhill announced her retirement and Chris was named the Interim Director.
For the past 3.5 months, Chris has shown the Board her knowledge, commitment, and dedication to the United Way. Chris’s background in non-profit work along with her recent job concentrating on community development and engagement makes her a perfect fit to lead this organization. The Board of Directors promoted her, ahead of schedule, because we felt she has shown exemplary focus and willingness to take on tasks and jump into the leadership role.
Chris, the staff and Board of Directors of United Way are working very hard this year. The strategic plan is complete focusing on the growth and direction over the next 2 years. The 2016 campaign has begun and is off to a great start. The goal will be announced at the rally on August 5, 2016. Work for Live United Day is underway and will be held September 16, 2016! We hope that Cass County is seeing the work that United Way is doing to make this a better community. Not only through the work of our 12 organizations we help financially but the community work that United Way will continue to do for years to come.
