Last Updated on May 10, 2018 by cassnetwork

Ivy Tech Community College Kokomo Region will recognize students who have demonstrated outstanding academic achievement and leadership during its commencement ceremony May 11.

Emily Brandon of Bourbon, who is graduating with an Associate of Applied Science degree and Technical Certificate in Dental Assisting, will be honored with the Chancellor’s Award for Academic Excellence, named in honor of the longest-serving academic officer for the Kokomo Service Area, Dr. Pam Lewis.

Brandon was selected from those students nominated for the Dean’s Award in each program who have a 3.75 GPA or higher. Other considerations for this award include leadership, community service, and school involvement. In nominating Brandon for the honor, her department chair described her “as an exceptional leader, always willing to help others, with a positive attitude, brilliant talents and outstanding skills.”
