Update on Phase 3 of Cass County Road 400 South Project

UPDATE AS OF SEPTEMBER 13, 2019:

County Road 400S between 300W and 175W is now open. The road reconstruction project, which has been ongoing since early spring,  is substantially complete. Drivers may notice some final punch list work going on over the next few weeks. The 4th and final phase of the project, from 175W to SR 29, is currently planned for construction in the spring of 2021.

PREVIOUS UPDATE: Cass County Road 400 South, between 300W and 175W, will be closed for construction starting Wednesday, March 6, 2019. The road segment is expected to remain closed for the duration of the project, which is scheduled for completion by mid-September.

The construction is the third of four phases of the 400 South project, which will eventually connect SR 29 and SR 25 with a new roadway.

ORIGINAL POST: Work is expected to begin within the next two weeks on phase 3 of the 400 South project in Cass County. Phase 3 covers the area of 400S from just west of 300W to near 175W. Drivers and residents will initially notice survey and utility work going on along the route. While the road will remain open during the early phases of the work, drivers should be prepared for personnel and equipment on and near the road. Complete closure of the road segment will come later in the project, and the closure will be announced at that time.
