Logansport Utilities Scheduled Outage for June 27, 2024

There will be a scheduled power outage starting around 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, June 27, 2024 as the electric department adds a transformer to improve voltage for residents.

The outage will affect roughly 23 customers located on:

  • 100 block of West Main Street
  • 200 and 300 blocks of Tanguy and Grove Streets

Power should be restored within three hours.

Affected residents are advised to prepare for the outage with the following tips:
-Have a plan to maintain use of any medical equipment dependent on electricity
-Charge cell phones
-Unplug computers, televisions, and sensitive electronics.
-Notify your home security company.
-Know how to manually operate garage doors and electric gates.
-Minimize opening refrigerator and freezer doors during the outage.
-Turn off all heat-producing appliances (stoves, toaster ovens, irons, hair curlers, etc)

Logansport Utilities is committed to making system improvements to increase electric reliability and
decrease emergency power outages. Crews will work quickly, while being safe, to restore power as soon
as possible.
