
Ida F. Huddleston

Ida F. Huddleston, 89, Logansport, Indiana, formerly of Kewanna, passed away Monday, September 21, 2026, at Woodbridge Health Campus.
Born March 5, 1937, in Star City, Indiana, she was the youngest of fourteen children born to the late John L. and Frances R. (Stuart) Hettinger.
Ida attended the Christian Church in Burnettsville for many years and also the Fulton Methodist Church for several years.
Ida modeled a strong work ethic for her family. She worked for 25 years with Maiben’s Laundry in Logansport. After they closed, she worked for T.M. Morris Manufacturing for many years. Yet she always managed to make family her priority – she loved being with the whole family. The last journey of her life took her to Woodbridge Health Campus where she met so many friends and caregivers who became like family to her.
On February 20, 1954, in Star City, Indiana, she was married to Paul Huddleston. He preceded her in death in 2008.
Their marriage was blessed with five children: Paul Huddleston, who preceded in death, Don Huddleston, of Logansport, Bob Huddleston, of Twelve Mile, Diana(Chris) Montgomery, of Valparaiso, and Connie(Gary) DeWitt, of Walton. The blessings continued in the form of 13 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; and 8 great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, her husband and her son, Ida was preceded in death by one grandchild, Joe Huddleston; two great-grandchildren, Kadee Huddleston and Hunter Shank; nine brothers; and four sisters.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Thursday, September 24th at Fisher Funeral Chapel, 1801 Chase Road, Logansport, Indiana. The funeral service celebrating Ida’s life will begin at 11 a.m.
Interment will follow in the Davis Cemetery, near Burnettsville.
