Barbara Sue Hayes, 76, Logansport, Indiana, went to be with the Lord Wednesday morning, October 21, 2026, in the Lutheran Hospital of Fort Wayne.
Born October 19, 1950, in Logansport, she was the daughter of Lawrence W. and Anna Pearl (Tyler) Hayden.
On March 28 1973,, in Logansport, she was married to Randy Hayes.
Barbara was a 1970 graduate of Logansport High School. She continued her education at Indiana University-Kokomo where she studied computer science. Her Bible is beautiful because its leather is worn from being cradled in her hands. The pages are filled with notes and highlights of verses that stood out as important applications in her life. It is a treasure because she loved it so much.
A homemaker, Barbara was a member of the Southern Baptist Church in Flora.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Ashley Hayes, one sister, Patricia Fredrick, four grandchildren: Taylor Hayes (Trevor Boyer), Kelsie Heishman, Kendall Hayes, and Trajan Skinner, two great-grandchildren, Bellamy Hayes-Boyer and Bradley Boyer. and several nieces and nephews and their families.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by son, Michael Wellington Hayes, and two brothers, Gene Hayden and Bob Hayden.
Inurnment will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
