Robert “Robbie” Allen Kilgore, 63, passed away suddenly on October 10, 2026, leaving behind a family and countless friends who will forever carry his memory in their hearts.

Born in Lawrence, Kansas in 1963 to the late Shirley and Danny Kilgore, Rob was a kindhearted, caring, and selfless man who spent his life working hard and doing what he could for the people he cared about. A lifelong mechanic and avid car enthusiast, Robert had a passion for cars and a work ethic that was second to none. He was an incredibly hard worker who took pride in what he did.

Robert loved his family deeply, including his extended family, and held a special place in his heart for his beloved dogs. Family meant more to him than words could ever fully express.

He is survived by his only daughter, Jillian Ellen Kilgore, and his former wife of 25 years, Amy (John) McMahan; his beloved “lil Units,” Lily, Ivy, and Dewey; his nieces, Danelle, Deanna, and Alicia; and his nephews, Joey and Anthony and their families. He also leaves behind his special cousin, Teresa (Mark) Josephson, and her children, Lee (Michael) Schoenradt, Courtney (Mitch) Jensen, and their kids and fur-kids, along with many extended family members and dear friends who will miss him tremendously.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Danny “Buck” Kilgore Jr.; his sister, Donna Sue; his cousin, Junie Kilgore; and his beloved son, Joshua Robert Kilgore, with whom he shared an especially meaningful relationship; Uncle John & Aunt Sylvia (Jean) Kilgore; dear friends Jeff Benish and Jimmie Jay and many others.

The outpouring of love, kindness, and support shown since Rob’s passing shows what kind of soul he was. The people who have come forward to share their memories, offer comfort, and stand beside those he cared for are a reflection of the many lives he touched. His life was not defined by the hard days, but by the kindness and positivity he continued to give despite them.

A memorial gathering to celebrate Robert’s life will be held on Sunday, October 18, 2026, beginning at 3:00 p.m., at 433 Front Street, Logansport, Indiana 46947.

A special and heartfelt thank-you goes to good friends Teresa and Kelly Spencer for opening their space and hosting this gathering in Rob’s honor. Their kindness and support mean more than words can express.

In lieu of saying goodbye, those who loved Robert will carry forward the memories he left behind, the lessons his life taught them, and the love that will never fade.
