Vivan B. King, 84 of Rochester passed away on Tuesday, October 6, 2026 at Life Care Center of Rochester.

Born on June 27, 1942 in Marshtown, she was the daughter of the late Walter and (Frances (Thiel) Freels.

Vivian was a 1961 Grass Creek High School graduate.

She retired from Lau Industries in Rochester after 35 years of service.

Survivors include her son, Stephen King, her brothers, Walter Jo, Autry, Audry and Clayton and her sisters, Shirley Shepard and Katrina Clevenger. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by siblings, Kenneth, Virgil, Roger Freels and Edith Hacker.

Services will be at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, October 10, 2026 at Rans Funeral Homes & Crematory, Metzger Chapel, 123 E. Main St., Kewanna.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

Burial will follow at Grass Creek Cemetery.
