This is where she met the love of her life, Harold Miller. They were married on November 11, 1961, and celebrated sixty-three wedding anniversaries together. Harold preceded her in death in 2024.
She is survived by their two daughters Sheila Marie Earll (Jeff) and Tammy Lisa Todd (Jeff); and grandsons Steven Louis Sommer, Maxwell Jeffrey Earll, Jeffrey George Todd (Bethany), Michael Joseph EarlI, Kevin George Todd (Chloe), and Nicholas George Todd; and great-granddaughter, Lily Todd (Jeff and Beth’s daughter). Marie is also survived by siblings Al Kohler (Kerry) and Norine Martin; and her best friend and cousin, Sharon Gardner; and many loving sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.
Her brother, Edwin Kohler, preceded her in death as did her granddaughter Kassandra Marie Todd.
Marie was a devoted member of the Warren Wesleyan Church. After marrying Harold and spending many years in Warren, they eventually moved to Romeo, Michigan. There they raised their daughters and tended to their small organic farm that included vegetables as well as pigs, goats, horses, hogs, cows, peacocks, guinea hens, chickens, and ducks. They spent 40 years in Romeo where they became members of the Stoney Church where she was a member of Stephen Ministries and the Optimist club amongst other charity work. They were always willing to help the community in any way.
Marie and Harold moved to Logansport, Indiana, in 2017 to be with her youngest daughter, Tammy. She thrived living in a house filled with so much love. She found a new Church family at New Life Alliance and was warmly welcomed and cared for by many of the caring members there.
